Sozo Ministries in Uganda was honored to host Alex and Emily for a 10-day survey trip to Mbale, to see what the Lord is doing in both the educational and medical spheres, and look for further opportunities to be involved. During their time, they we able to do a medical outreach with Jenga Uganda on Mount Wanale, as well as tour multiple clinics and hospitals, small and big, government and private. They were also able to visit a number of schools in the area, speaking in assemblies and sharing the Word of the Lord with the students. On Sunday, they ministered in the morning at Sozo Ministries Church in Masiwe, then in the evening spoke to the Youth Konnect gathering at Pearl Haven Christian Center. We were also able to host a Youth Ministers' Fellowship at our base in Nakaloke, as well as visit our dear friends at Smile Africa Ministries in Tororo on their last day of ministry. (You can catch Alex's message during the Youth Minister's Fellowship here.)

Scott has known Emily since 2010, when she was saved on a mission trip to Uganda, and he had the privilege of baptizing her in Tororo the following year. It was a great time to catch up and to finally meet Alex, and we look forward to seeing more of them in the future as God guides them forward!
