Sozo Ministries is a Gospel Ministry! The gospel of Jesus Christ is the foundation for which our ministry was launched and remains the focus for why we still exist today.

The trend among too many churches in the world, however, has been to back away from the gospel message because it is no longer popular and seems out of touch with the modern cultures of liberalism, tolerance, and the glorification of self-determined identities. Pastors have become ashamed to preach the message of the cross. Believers are ashamed to tell others that sin will be judged by a holy God. Even among Sozo Ministries churches, there are those looking for a more popular message to share, letting the gospel become only a small portion of what is proclaimed.

God is Calling Us Back to a Core Focus on His Gospel of Salvation for All Who Believe.

When Paul wrote to the Romans, “I am not ashamed of the gospel,” he was making a bold proclamation that he would not back down from preaching the good news of Jesus in a world that did not want to hear that message. Whether Jews or Gentiles, the world in which Paul ministered was content with their self-serving systems of religion that elevated man in the eyes of man rather than humbling themselves before God.

Our world today is no different. People have “itching ears” to hear teachings that make them feel good or promise only supernatural blessings, but never a cross. It is time for us to stand up and refuse to compromise on the Gospel. We cannot water it down to make people feel good or hide it behind motivational messages or secondary issues.

OUR CALLING IS TO PREACH THE GOSPEL!

Not the “prosperity gospel.” Not the “social gospel.” Not the “self-help gospel.” Not any other gospel that takes the focus off of Jesus Christ and Him crucified! Our message is not cheap grace, promising people that once they give their lives to Jesus, it requires nothing more of them. Neither is our message for people to give their lives to the church, the pastor, the ministry, or the vision. We are not selling prophecies or promoting fights with the devil. We are not promising blessings or making a name for ourselves. In 2025, we are returning to the one and only message God has called us to share: the Gospel of Jesus Christ, who died for our sins so that we can be restored to the Father, filled with the Holy Spirit, and equipped for His service! In 2025, let us examine ourselves and all that we do, to ensure the gospel in central through it all!

“The church is only faithful to her mission when she declares the gospel without subtraction, addition, or distortion.” – D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones
